Afternoon Pointy

Only reason the Leave blue-rinsers are not doing the bidding of any big corporations is they are too cranky and marginal to be of any use at all.

'A government with vile intent or who.are corrupt and in the pocket of big powerful corporations'

Like Cameron's Remainer Tories, you mean?

Re: Hamas attack Israel
WHU it's you missing the point. Doesn't matter who.was denying them the right to free and fair elections their rights are still being undermined by a form of dictatorship.

Iran and Russia show us examples of what happens when you try to protest in those places.

When there are so many historical examples of why we shouldn't trust governments I can't imagine why anyone would trust this useless rabble to replace the terms of the ECHR into.a bill.of rights for us. No thanks.

What would be the point in that? Also don't think they really do interviews.

Re: Hamas attack Israel
Will Piers now hold the equivalent authority in Hamas to account and ask them to explicitly state and justify why they invaded Israel on October 7th, killing over 1200 people and taking hundreds of hostages?

Probably contingent on Hamas being able to surrender some live hostages that they don't any longer have.

Re: Hamas attack Israel
That’s correct Debs.

What’s incorrect however is your post of 5:58 as Hamas would’ve gained in those elections, had they been held.

So it’s not a “good example” at all, because it’s 100% factually incorrect. But cheers for sledgehammering the ECHR into this, and getting the context completely wrong into the bargain.

Re: Hamas attack Israel
Debs, 5:58. The reason there hasn’t been any elections in Gaza for 18 years (not 10), is because when they were going to hold elections a couple years ago, the PA (mostly Fatah), pulled the plug on having elections, because they knew that Hamas would regain Gaza, and had also grown in voting numbers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Other than that, yeah, very good point.
